Purdue Game

Congrats to the Soup-Off Winners!

1st- Josh' Crab Chowder
2nd- Greg's Broccoli Cheese
Just Like Momma's- Donna's Chicken Noodle
Caliente- Pam's Chili
Most Original- Marti's Pizza Soup
Click here to check out more photos from the big day!
Hard to believe next week is the last tailgate! It is a noon kick-off so it will be breakfast munchies if you are there before game time and a pot luck after the game. We figured we'd make it easy for everyone for the last game! :)
So far I know Donna is bringing Sausage w/Peppers and Onions. And I am bringing some deli appetizers and Chicken Broccoli Casserole (it is covered in cheese so it negats all the broccoli :)
See you all at Lot 24 for the last time this year :(!!!

PSU vs Ohio State- the SOUP-OFF

The Ohio State tailgate will feature a Soup-Off. Enter your best soup, stew, chili recipe (i.e. anything you can cook in a pot) for prizes and bragging rights.

All tailgaters will vote and prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
  • 1st and 2nd place for best overall
  • Most Unique Recipe

  • "Just Like Momma's" Award

  • "Caliente" Award (spiciest)

Voting will end at 5:00pm and the winners will be announed by 5:30pm. We'd love to snap some photos of all the winners! If you do not want to enter a soup- bread, cheese, crackers or any side item that could go with soup would be appreciated.

For the Kids: In addition to the Soup-off we will have a Halloween party for the kids. Come in your Halloween costumes (adults you can join in the fun too!!!). We'll have a Pinanta, some Halloween crafts and just some good spooky fun. Share any good ideas you might have for this.

FYI- I am planning on bringing Halloween cupcakes as one dessert.

An eight o'clock game, a winning streak, and a FULL day of tailgating! Can't wait!! See you there.

PSU vs. Wisconsin- Homecoming!

Great Mexican Fest yesterday!

Next week is a 3:30 kickoff and we decided the theme for the Wisconsin game will be 'OCTOBER FEST" so bring your best German dish with a *Cheesy Twist* so we can devour the cheeseheads of Wisconsin!

We have commitments for the following foods for next week
Bratwurst
Cheesy Hashbrowns
Pepperoni Bread is a given no matter what the theme!

***Just a heads up: the following game (Ohio State) will be the Soup Off. There will be 5 categories for prizes (I will post those after the 13th). So start thinking about your best soup recipes and we'll have to hope for some crisp fall weather-a perfect soup day!

I just moved to NYC yesterday and probably won't make it home for another game this season but I'll keep checking the blog to see what's happening in Happy Valley. Hope to see you all soon.
