It was so great to catch up with everyone on Saturday.  Fun to see how everyone's kids had grown, fun to hear what the more grown-up kids are up to and fun to hear how everyone spent their off-season.  

This Saturday's night game looks to be a perfect day for tailgating!  Mostly sunny and high of 65.  We will take a journey to Jimmy Buffet's Margarita-ville on Sat (Bring your Buffet music if you got it).  Enjoy some cheeseburgers in paradise while we whip you up a tasty beverage in the 'ole margarita maker. Food is Jimmy Buffet island and/or American casual.  What doesn't go with Jimmy Buffet?

I am going to enter our little spot in PSU heaven in a local tailgating contest and will be taking photos and video on Saturday.  So look festive and supply us with your best PSU pride!

Kick off is at 6pm and you know Donna and Pam will have us hooked up by 8am when the lot opens!

Welcome to the TailGreat 2013 Season!

Welcome to a new TailGreat Season!  We are excited to reconnect with those that share a love for Penn State Football!  We have a fun season of TailGreats planned. Here is a list of proposed TailGreats:

• Coffee and Doughnuts (Breakfast Theme)
• Margaritaville ala Jimmy Buffet
• Waffle House at Lot 24
• Pig Day-TailGreat Game Tourney!
• Happy Days in Happy Valley (50s Theme)
• Mexican Fiesta/Halloween Party
• Annual Soup Cook-off 

Specific details for each TailGreat will be posted as the game gets closer.

Our first TailGreat is the Home Opener- PSU vs. Eastern Michigan. With a noon kickoff will we be having a Coffee and Doughnuts theme.  Bring your favorite breakfast treat to share.  We'll have a Coffee Bar (with spirits) and gear up for a new season!

PSU vs. Wisconsin

Hi all,

Another season comes to an end :(

Our final bowl destination will be the Rose Bowl (the Big Ten dance).

It is also time once again for our annual Soup Cookoff!  Warm soup + a crisp fall football Saturday= a perfect way to end our TailGreat season.

Just bring a crock of soup to enter yourself to the prestigious contest.  All TailGreaters will vote on soups.  The top three vote getters and Most Original recipe will receive a prize and bragging rights.

Penn State vs. Indiana

Hi all,
Can you believe we are down to only two games!?!? :(.

Indiana comes to town for noon kickoff on Saturday.  We will celebrate the Alamo Bowl during this tailGreat. So Tex-Mex, BBQ, American classics like burgers and dogs.  Anything goes in Texas :).

Just a heads up the annual Soup Cook Off will be held during the last game (Wisconsin), November 22nd.  Prizes will be awarded as well as bragging rights for the year! It is always a tailGreat favorite and perfect for a crisp fall day.  The soup is always "So Good, So Good, So Good"...... :)

Penn State vs. Ohio State

Hi All,

It is the battle of the NCAA bans when the Buckeyes come to town next Saturday.  **Note: Game time has changed from 6:00pm to 5:30pm.

We will be heading to the Fiesta Bowl for this big game and celebrating Mexican Fiesta style 1. Because it is fun 2. Because it is yummy!  Thinking of doing the walking tacos we were introduced to last year and the Margarita maker will be there spinning up your favorite ritas.

If anyone is selling tickets please let me know. My cousin Joel is looking for 4, but would love 2 if 4 isn't possible.  Thanks much!
